American Beauties

Sharon Mack, a Maine quilter, has put together a fun event to raise money for breast cancer research called "Bras 4 the Cause". The bras will be on display during July, and auctioned at the First Universalist Church auditorium in Pittsfield on August 1. Our quilting group split into two teams. One team created "American Beauties" pictured here, with rose petals, leaves and plenty of sparkle. The other team is putting the finishing touches on "Betty Boobs" Betty Boop eyes, a bustier, and her pouty lips--it is a stitch! I will post a photo when they get it done.
