At the Seashore

Completed a wallhanging today commissioned by a friend. She is off to meet her new grandson soon and rather than a quilt, which I made for her other grandkids, decided on a wallhanging. The nursery has a sailboat theme, so the boats were the inspiration. A lighthouse for Maine seemed appropriate; the whale and starfish were my friend's idea. Fun touches included tiny buttons edging the starfish arms and a few sequins to make the whale spout sparkle.
